Solvent-free laminating adhesives — plus water-based bonding on request.

For flexible packaging film laminates, chemlinkai supplies solvent-free laminating adhesives with defined mix, application and cure guidance. Water-based adhesive and bonding systems are scoped from the same resin platform when the structure calls for them.

Family scope

What the adhesives family covers

The adhesives family centers on solvent-free laminating adhesives: applied by heated lamination machines, free of solvent handling and drying load, with bond strength that builds over the curing period.

Because a laminate fails at its weakest interface, we qualify every adhesive on your film pair: surface state of each web, structure, curing schedule and the aging conditions the package will see. Water-based adhesive and bonding systems are assessed case by case from the same polymer platform.

  • Solvent-free lamination adhesives for transparent film laminates
  • Structures with foils, metallized or barrier films — scoped per project
  • Water-based adhesive and bonding systems, assessed on request
  • Cure and aging evaluation under your storage and use conditions
Representative ranges

Adhesive series and typical ranges

Representative values across the series; each delivered grade is defined by its batch TDS.

Adhesive seriesRepresentative rangeRemark
Series 1 — solvent-free, transparent film laminatesMix ratio per grade; viscosity ~1,000 mPa·s class at application temperaturePeel strength and optical clarity validated on your film pair before supply.
Series 2 — solvent-free, higher-bond structuresMix ratio per grade; application temperature per gradeFor structures that need higher initial and final bond; aging windows agreed by test plan.
Series 3 — solvent-free, foil and barrier structuresMix ratio and cure schedule per gradeMetallized and barrier film lamination is scoped per project; adhesion to the metal layer depends on the film grade.
Series 4 — water-based adhesive and bonding systemsFormulated from the waterborne resin platform on requestNo published catalog range; representative data is shared after the formulation review.
Series 5 — custom adhesive developmentRange defined per development briefTargeted development from resin to finished adhesive under a scoped agreement.

Representative values as of September 2026; series names to be finalized and batch TDS issued per delivery — always verify against the batch TDS and COA.

Adhesive questions

Do you supply water-based adhesives as well as solvent-free ones?

Water-based adhesive and bonding systems are scoped on request from our waterborne resin platform — they are not a published catalog range. Describe the substrates, the bond requirement and the process, and we will confirm whether a water-based system fits before proposing one.

How long does a solvent-free lamination adhesive take to reach full bond?

Bond strength develops over hours to days depending on the adhesive grade, the film structure and the curing temperature. We measure peel strength over agreed aging windows — for example 24 hours, 7 days and after the specific aging your package requires — and report the full curve, not a single number.

Which adhesive should I use for food packaging laminates?

The choice starts from the structure and the regulation that applies in your market. We disclose the available migration and compliance data for each grade and confirm whether it covers your scope; where it does not, we agree a test plan before supply.

What decides whether solvent-free lamination will work on my line?

Three things: whether your laminator can meter and apply solvent-free adhesive at the required temperature, whether both film webs run without distortion at that temperature, and whether the curing environment gives the bond time to develop. We review all three before recommending a grade.
